Operations/Office Manager
Our client, a private grantmaking organization, is looking for an Operations/Office Manager to join their NYC Office team. The ideal candidate will be proactive and versatile with high emotional intelligence. This role is on-site in Midtown Manhattan 4 days per week with flexibility on Fridays. This role reports to the Director of Operations.

LOCATION: Midtown, Manhattan
HOURS: 8am – 6pm (4 days in office and 1 day (Friday) remote)
COMPENSATION: 85-120k base + robust benefits
BACHELOR'S DEGREE REQUIRED: Preferred
Responsibilities of the Operations/Office Manager:
-Create a welcoming and productive environment by organizing office operations, managing, supply inventories, and implementing maintenance practices
-Act as the primary contact for building management and external service providers to address facility-related matters, ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and local laws
-Oversee the vendor relationship by managing the vendor database, researching new vendors, supporting contract management, and coordinating in-office and external team events
-Manage IT equipment and systems, including computers, video conferencing, printers, and software tools. Administer and triage IT support requests from employees and liaise with external IT support
-Handle office purchasing, track expenses, and ensure accurate bookkeeping and invoice processing
-Facilitate onboarding and offboarding in collaboration with program and operations teams
-Support additional ad-hoc projects as needed
Requirements of the Operations/Office Manager:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-5+ years of experience in a dynamic, fast-paced office environment
-Proficiency with office technologies, including computer/printer hardware and software, video conferencing systems, and IT security policies
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups
-Exceptionally organized with the ability to manage multiple operational areas efficiently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
-An excellent problem-solver, capable of handling operational challenges effectively and professionally
-Adaptable to changes and able to work effectively both in a team environment and independently
-Verifications of identity, education, prior employment, and references may be required
