Our client, a well-established global hedge fund, is in search of a Paralegal/Manager Commodities Transactionsl for their Commodities Group. This role will work closely with the Commodities team and the Attorney for the group. The ideal candidate will be personable, flexible, and resourceful.

POSITION: Paralegal/Manager Commodities Transactions

Responsibilities of the Paralegal/Manager Commodities Transactions :
-Member of a highly visible front-office team, providing high level of exposure to discussions and analysis related to investment sourcing, evaluation, structuring, legal documentation and execution
-Drafting, reviewing, and coordinating the timely documentation of commodities investments and contract servicing requirements across equity, debt, over-the-counter physical and financial commodities transactions Managing and coordinating its counter-parties’ on-boarding requirements
-Maintaining and tracking pipeline of potential opportunities and key transaction work streams
-Liaising with internal stakeholders to facilitate execution and transaction management
-Maintain standard forms and templates of key commodity transaction documents and prepare draft transactional agreements for review by commodities legal team
-Organize and track documents through transaction lifecycle, including drafts and execution copies, and coordinate internal processes for obtaining signatures from authorized persons
-Drafting, reviewing, and coordinating the timely documentation of commodities investments and contract servicing requirements across equity, debt, over-the-counter physical and financial commodities transactions Managing and coordinating its counter-parties’ on-boarding requirements

Requirements of the Paralegal/Manager Commodities Transactions:
-Previous experience working with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts or other paralegal experience
-Desire to do more than just legal work and be an important part of the wider team
-Desire to self-familiarize with details of the investment team’s strategy and goals
-Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and outcome focus are a must
-Team player, self-motivated, desire to learn and take on new challenges
-Demonstrable ability to interpret complex contract provisions and identify potential business and other risks
-Achievement oriented (timeline driven, detail-oriented, strong planning and negotiation skills)
-Extremely responsive and stakeholder focused, appropriate follow-up and follow-through
-Strong conceptual and critical thinking skills
-Familiarity with MS Office – Word
