Founded in 2000, our client is a middle market private equity firm focused on buyout investments in the tech-enabled business services, education services, media services and communications sectors. The firm is investing out of its fourth fund and has managed over $1.2 billion in private equity commitments since inception. The firm is operationally focused and partners with executives to develop compelling investment strategies. Our client targets companies with EBITDA between $3 - $15 million and has successfully executed 35 platform acquisitions and over 130 add-ons since inception.

POSITION:
The firm is seeking to add a pre-MBA Associate with a minimum of 1-3 years of investment banking, private equity, and/or management consulting experience. The primary responsibilities will include:
  1. Evaluating and executing new investment opportunities, including due diligence, market analysis, financial modeling, and debt financing
  2. Supporting strategic initiatives of existing portfolio companies, including M&A, financing, budgeting, and business development
  3. Interacting with the firm’s executive network, portfolio company management teams, bankers, lenders, and third-party advisors
  4. Industry research & market analysis, including generating investment theses on potential new sectors for investment


REQUIREMENTS:
Deal teams are lean and typically consist of two to three investment professionals, requiring Analysts and Associates to take on a broad set of responsibilities and be extremely proactive.  Hustle and grit are a must.  Potential candidates should possess the following:
  1. 1-3 years of investment banking, private equity and/or management consulting experience
  2. Experience in M&A and/or one of the firms focus sectors (listed above) is preferred but not required
  3. Exceptional analytical skills, including financial modeling
  4. Superior oral and written communication skills
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic
  6. Proven track record of commitment and success both professionally and academically
  7. Ability to effectively work in a collaborative environment

TIMING & DURATION:  Immediate start. 
 
COMPENSATION:  Competitive base salary and performance bonus.
