Our client, a midtown-based hedge fund, is adding a Research Assistant to their growing team. Prior experience working within finance is preferred but NOT required and the ideal candidate will be comfortable with light Personal work within the position.   The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate (1-3 years out of college), have a positive attitude, an interest in finance and be excited to join a thriving stable hedge fund.

*This is an in-office position Monday - Friday with a rotation WFH set up on Fridays

 

COMPANY: Hedge Fund 

POSITION: Research Assistant

LOCATION: New York, NY 

HOURS: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM  (with light flexibility to respond to emails after hours – very reasonable!)

SALARY: $75k-110k + discretionary bonus + benefits 

BACHELOR'S DEGREE REQUIRED?: Preferred

Responsibilities of the Executive Assistant / Research Assistant: 

- Keep the quarterly earnings calendar 

- Dial into company sponsored earnings conference calls and presentations 

- Assist with calendar management, schedule meetings and coordinate travel arrangements 

- Answer phones, greet guests, and maintain the office area 

- Sell side interaction for meetings/conferences/1x1 requests 

- T&E, back up coverage for others in the office 

- Assist the Business Team with ad-hoc projects as needed 

- Back up the team during earnings seasons 

- Light personal duties (Dinner reservations, airline reservations)

 

Requirements of the Executive Assistant / Research Assistant:

- Bachelor’s degree preferred 

- Experience working at a hedge fund

- Familiarity with Bloomberg a plus but not required

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

- Strong attention to detail and great organizational skills 

- Extremely protective of privacy and possesses the ability to be discreet and keep matters appropriately confidential 

- Strong sense of urgency and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing environment 

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint) 

- Verifications of identity, education, prior employment, and references may be required
