Our client, a prestigious Hedge Fund, is seeking a Research Executive Assistant to provide support to a team of 3 analysts. The ideal candidate enjoys the support role, is hungry, driven, and eager to learn/take on more! Experience out of financial services or at a boutique hedge fund (1-3 years) would be a plus. No prior Research Assistant experience required.

Responsibilities of the Research Executive Assistant :
POSITION: Research Executive Assistant

Responsibilities of the Research Executive Assistant :
-Maintain and establish sell side broker/analyst relations
-Track quarterly earnings, update sector coverage lists, create extensive research packets
-Provide up to date details on corporate access events for companies on analyst “watch lists” and liaise with sell side/corporate access contacts to secure meetings and calls
-Utilize research platforms of investment banks as well as Capital IQ to obtain research, investment models, transcripts of events, etc.
-Dialing in analysts for quarterly earnings calls, printing out research, answering phones and screening calls; covering other lines as needed
-Set up/coordinate calls with various counterparties such as Investor Relations departments of followed companies, and pre-approved outside consultants
-Calendar management, arranging frequent foreign and domestic travel, obtaining visas when needed, creating itineraries, setting up meetings and calls
-Periodically assisting team with select personal matters
-Providing back-up coverage for others on administrative team such as vacation coverage when needed
-Working with office manager and other executive assistants on ad-hoc assignments, including training to serve as back-up for other administrative team tasks that span
outside of the Research Assistant role
-Scanning documents; sending out packages via overnight carriers, messengers, etc. and running errands as needed
-Reconcile monthly/daily expenses for submission to office manager

Requirements of the Research Executive Assistant:
-2-5 years’ experience in the EA/Support role
-Bachelor's degree required
- Professional and strong interpersonal skills with a team player type with an overall good / positive attitude that genuinely likes the support role will do very well at the firm!
-Ability to work individually as well as with other members of the team; strong commitment to teamwork
-Not easily flustered and able to multitask, prioritize, work in fast paced environment, be easily adaptive
-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
-Communicates well both verbally and in writing
-Ability to maintain business confidentiality is critical and a willingness to take on ad-hoc projects as needed
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook
-Proficiency in Internet based tools
-Knowledge of Capital IQ
-Verification of identity, education, prior employment, and references may be required
